Mom. Can I have a snack? Is it time yet? Can we go? She said... He said... She took my... He hit me! Can I have a snack? Mom. Mom. Mom!
I've heard it all. Today it just so happened to all be within the same hour and a half. On top of that, I'm dealing with a feral 3-year-old, who has big emotions and an even bigger voice. Oh, and did I mention he's a runner? I'm tapped out. I've met my limit. I'm done. I'm doing my best. HELP!
This blog may be short and sweet, but that's okay. Also, please don't confuse my saying all of this as complaining. I love my kids and I love being a mama. We all have tough days, though. I know that I am not the only one who has dealt with all of the above. I'm also not the only one who needs to hear what I am about to say.
Rabbit Trail: You know that episode of Bluey, where Bella (Coco's mom) came over to tell Chili she's "doing great." I cried. Just me?
Well, you're doing great too! Even in the moments when you feel like a failure, even when you mess up and maybe even yell. I've been there. I've missed it and had to apologize to my kiddos, and then cried because they meet me with forgiveness, understanding, and open arms. What a blessing they truly are.
You are not alone. You are not a failure. Don't give up. Keep going. Keep doing your best.
You're doing great!
