I'm That Mom

I remember a time in my life when I didn't have children, and my husband and I would say stuff like...
"Our kids will never do that."
"That mom just doesn't have control over her kids."
"That's just bad parenting."
You know... judging.
I won't lie. I've done it, just like I'm sure we all have.
Fast Forward
I'm now a mother of 3 (ages 7, 6 & 4), and I will proudly say that I am "that mom".
That mom who just lets her kids do certain things.
That mom who doesn't always have control of her kids.
That mom who makes mistakes.
But I am also...
That mom who will do anything for her children.
That mom who always keeps her children safe.
That mom who is still a good mom.
...
No matter the judgment some may give, no one knows the story behind your reasoning. And you don't have to defend yourself here.
I get it now.
So Continue To Be...
That mom who picks her battles because it's easier than a fight.
That mom who lets them simply be kids instead of controlling every little thing.
That mom who is still learning but continues to show up every single day.
You got this mama!
